Overview

Devprayag is a scared place located in Tehri Garhwal District and about 70 Kms from Rishikesh. It is known for holy confluence of River Bhagirathi and Alaknanda which merge here and form River Ganga the holy river in Hindu religion. It is one of the Panch Prayags of Uttarakhand in which others are Rudraprayag, Karanprayag, Nandprayag and Vishnuprayag.

Located at the elevation of 830 meters from sea level. It’s a small village but now becomes a city center with many shops and popular place.

You can visit Raghunath Ji Temple in Devprayag as well, which is ancient and old temple of Lord Rama built with huge stone and pyramidical in form.

Places to Visit in Devprayayg:

Holy Confluence of Ganga Ji: - You can see the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda River with different color of water is merging together and forming the holiest river, Ganga. You can take a holy dip here and offer prayer and water to Suryadev.

Raghunath Ji Temple: - dedicated to Lord Rama, it is ancient temple located in Devprayag, where you can pay darshan and take blessings of lord Rama

How to reach Devprayag: -

Devprayag is well connected with road transportation and can be easily reached by taking taxis or bus from Rishikesh or Haridwar. Also, the new railway line is constructing, so after that you will be able to book railway to reach Devprayag. As of now the nearest railway station is Yog Nagari Rishikesh and the nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport Dehradun.

Best Time to Visit Devprayag: -

You can visit Devprayag throughout year but the best time is March to June months and Sept-Oct month when the weather is good and you can easily visit the Confluence in Devprayag and take blessings.
